The White House: President Obama used his weekly address to talk about “his fight to make America work for the middle class and make sure hard work is rewarded — rather than greed and recklessness.”  This week, the President will travel to Cleveland, Ohio where he will make remarks to update the American people on the state of the economy, talk about progress made, and discuss some targeted proposals to get the economy moving.

The U.S. Congress: Both the U.S. Senate and U.S. House of Representatives are participating in their respective August District Work Periods and will not return to Washington, DC for recorded votes until September 13, 2010.
