How Not to Kill Your BBQ Guests This Weekend

Anyone who has tasted lukewarm potato salad and barely lived to tell the tale can appreciate the importance of food safety. Here in Washington, DC, it’s hot as all hell and I still am wary of eating anybody’s potato salad except my own, my mom’s, and my grandmother’s.
To keep you from poisoning your guests, the United States Department of Agriculture has some food safety tips to keep you on the “yeah, I can eat her food” list. From the grocery store to the grill, you are likely to learn something new or reinforce your own good habits.
