All hands on deck this week on health care reform.
The White House: President Obama used his weekly address to discuss his blueprint for an updated Elementary and Secondary Education Act to overhaul No Child Left Behind, the latest step from his Administration to encourage change and success in America’s schools at the local level. This week, President Obama will travel to Ohio to talk health care reform and meet with the Taoiseach of Ireland in advance of St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
The U.S. Senate: Though health care reform will be on everyone’s mind, Senate floor activity will resume consideration of H.R.2847, the legislative vehicle for the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment Act.
The U.S. House of Representatives: House floor activity, as the Speaker rounds up House votes for health care reform, will focus on reauthorizing the Federal Aviation Administration and a round of non-controversial items on the suspension calendar.
