Thanksgiving 2009

The day to day drudgery of life can get in the way of appreciating life’s blessings big and small.

We all have a lot to be thankful for…for things known and unknown.

I’m thankful for my parents and grandparents. No matter my age, I still listen in awe and feel like a little girl whenever my grandparents tell me stories of their lives. I’m thankful for that humility, those lessons, and that I still have them here with me for Thanksgiving.

I’m also thankful for all of you who decided to spend a few minutes reading blackgirlgrown over the last year. Thanks for the support, encouragement, and return visits. Thanks for sharing with your family and friends.
