Happy Labor Day!

The White House: President Obama will travel to Cincinnati, Ohio to commemorate Labor Day with union members.  The president is also scheduled to address a joint session of Congress on Wednesday to make his case for health care reform.  President Obama used his weekly address to highlight a number of immediate initiatives to assist Americans in building their 401(k) and retirement accounts.

The U.S. Senate: The Senate returns from its month long recess.  With minimum activity on the Senate floor, Senate committees will hold a number of hearings related to nominations and FY10 appropriations funding, along with a hearing on the Defense Department’s “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.
The U.S. House of Representatives: The House will proceed with voting on as number of obscure, non-controversial bills on the suspension (no opposition, thus suspending the regular rules and requiring 2/3rds vote) calendar.
