The White House: Its all health care, all the time at the White House. President Obama used his weekly address to underscore the importance of health care reform and cautioning his fellow Democrats on the Hill that it can’t wait. This week, the President continues on the health care reform circuit with a Wednesday evening prime time press conference and a traveling tour to Cleveland, Ohio to “discuss health care reform.”
The U.S. Senate: After several days of confirmation hearings, the Senate Judiciary Committee is likely to schedule a committee vote this week to moving along President Obama’s pick for the U.S. Supreme Court, Judge Sonia Sotomayor., to the Senate floor for a full vote.
The U.S. House of Representatives: The House will begin the week with non-controversial bills as they await appropriations bills and some type of health care reform package being masked together by several House committees.
