The President used his weekly address to pay tribute America’s veterans, servicemen and women – particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice – and their families. President Obama participated in a number of events to commemorate Memorial Day including hosting breakfast with Gold Star Families, participating in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery, and speaking at the Memorial Amphitheater at Arlington National Cemetery.  For the rest of the week, President Obama will travel to Las Vegas, NV to attend a fundraiser for Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV).

Both the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate are out of session this week for the Memorial Day District Work Period. Look for your Members of Congress as they travel back home to meet with local leaders and constituents.
