The White House: President Obama used his weekly address on Saturday to discuss the need for Congress to pass a credit card reform bill. On Saturday evening, the President and First Lady attended the annual White House Correspondents’ Dinner at which the President delivered comedic remarks poking fun and himself and others. This week, President Obama will discuss the importance of health care reform, host a poetry slam at the White House, and welcome the 2009 NCAA Champion University of North Carolina men’s basketball team to the White House.
The U.S. Senate: The Senate will consider legislation to impose new regulations on the credit card industry.
The U.S. House of Representatives: In addition to non-controversial suspension calendar votes, the House will consider legislation to modernize schools and President Obama’s funding request for the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq.
